UNC researchers to start enrolling children in Novavax COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Thursday, researchers at the University of North Carolina (UNC) will start enrolling adolescents in a clinical trial for Novavax s COVID-19 vaccine.
âI wanted to do it, and I wanted to be an example to my congregants,â Nichols told News 3.
With a passion for faith and helping others, Nichols has taken part in the clinical trial for Novavaxâs shot for about two months.
âThe more people that enroll, the more information and knowledge that is gained,â he said. âI m always concerned about the issues with healthcare in the African American community, whether it s the distrust of the system or just not enough participation.â
