Tonka, a three-year-old black Great Dane, is one of the department s newest volunteers to help victims of domestic violence cope with traumatic events and to help first responders deal with stress. Jessica Gonos, the department s victim services coordinator, said the role of the division is to respond to person-on-person crimes 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
