METTAWA, IL Despite not having his name on the ballot in this month s municipal election, incumbent Mettawa Village President Casey Urlacher secured enough write-in votes to defeat the only person whose name did appear on the ballot former Village President Jess Ray, who ran as part of the Back to the Future Party.
All valid late-arriving votes to arrive ahead of the deadline at 5 p.m. Tuesday have been tallied, according to the Lake County Clerk s Office, which plans to certify the results as final Thursday following an official canvassing.
Chicago Bears Legend Walter Payton Wasn’t Originally #34
The number thirty-four was not the original jersey for Walter Payton when he joined the Chicago Bears.
Depending on the player and the sport, the jersey number could be very important to the athlete. I think it means more to me now than when I was playing. For the most part, my sports were football from fifth grade through high school and baseball from tee-ball unit I was sixteen. I may have tried something here or there but there is no way I would remember those numbers. I can not even recall my baseball numbers.
With former President Trump’s signature still fresh on his pardon, Casey Urlacher now is on the April 6 ballot as a write-in candidate for the unpaid post of Mettawa mayor.
