Roy Exum: Our Bloodiest Weekend - Chattanoogan com

Roy Exum: Our Bloodiest Weekend Wednesday, July 7, 2021 - by Roy Exum Roy Exum There are more than 13 cities that fell for the Black Lives Matter idea to ‘Defund the Police’ after last summer’s rioting and mayhem. If the truth be told they now wish they had never made such a colossal “mistake” after another one of the bloodiest July 4 th weekends on record. The final count is 618 Americans shot and 233 dead. There is no room for doubt; gun violence is at an all-time high and the Democratic-controlled cities lead the rap sheets. In Chicago, where now over 2,000 people have been shot in 2021 alone, this past weekend – from Friday at noon until Sunday at midnight there were 104 people shot and more than 18 were fatal, some dying in the hospital.

Chicago Alderman Sounds Alarm About Bloody Fourth of July Weekend

Appearing Monday on  Fox & Friends First, Chicago Alderman Anthony Napolitano (R) compared the Democrat-run city to a “war zone” following a violent Fourth of July weekend. HOST: [Chicago Mayor] Lori Lightfoot [D] has made statements saying that illegal guns are the problem in the city. What do you think? ANTHONY NAPOLITANO: I think that’s pure nonsense. We have the strongest and the strictest gun laws in the state, if not the country. If you go to our surrounding borders right now, where we’re supposedly getting all the guns from, they have nowhere near the amount of crime as we do. We have a people problem here in Chicago. I’ve been saying that for a long time. We have zero accountable ability for people in Chicago. Nobody is raising their kids anymore; the gangs are raising them.
