Another AMD Ryzen 5000G Cezanne Desktop APU based on the Zen 3 core architecture has leaked out. The engineering sample we are looking at is a PRO variant of the Ryzen 5000G family & should reportedly be better than the Ryzen 7 5800X Vermeer CPU in a couple of ways as reported by the leaker.

As was the case with the Ryzen 4000G (Renoir) and the Ryzen 3000 (Matisse) family, we will see a similar advantage for the monolithic Ryzen 5000G (Cezanne) APUs versus the chiplet Ryzen 5000 (Vermeer) family. A screenshot of the CPU-z for the AMD Ryzen 5000G engineering sample was posted over at Chiphell and shows us preliminary specifications for the upcoming chip which also seem to be similar to the sample that leaked out last week.

With Zen 3 released, all eyes are set on AMD s next-generation CPU architecture for Ryzen and EPYC CPUs which is codenamed Zen 4. We have heard little about the next-generation core but rumors state that it is going to offer another huge IPC jump and a massive overall performance gain over existing processors.

The latest rumor comes from ChipsandCheese whose sources have reported them that Genoa, AMD s next-generation server family, is going to be insanely fast compared to existing AMD EPYC offerings. The source also talks about Zen 3+ and Zen 5 but most of the information that has been shared is related to the Zen 4 core architecture.

Asus has announced two new thin and light laptops powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 U-series APUs the ZenBook 13 OLED UM325 and the ZenBook 14 UM425. These laptops feature largely similar specifications with the primary differences being with respect to the displays and available CPU options.
The ZenBook 13 OLED UM325 features a 13.3-inch OLED FHD NanoEdge display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black certified. The ZenBook 13 OLED offers several Ryzen 5000U APU options starting from the Ryzen 5 5500U all the way up to the Ryzen 7 5800U. This means buyers will have to specifically look out for Cezanne Zen 3 parts if desired. Up to 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB NVMe storage can be configured.

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 8 Core Cezanne Desktop APU based on the Zen 3 core architecture has leaked out within the Geekbench database & spotted by TUM APISAK. The leak shows us the full specifications for the said chip which will be part of the top-end Ryzen 7 5000G APUs.

In their generational performance review, Golem.de has showcased that the Zen 3 architecture for AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs achieves a massive 89% performance improvement over the original Zen architecture. A gain of this magnitude has not been seen for over a decade yet it took AMD just four years to offer nearly twice the performance of its first-gen Zen cores.
