One person dead, one hospitalized in Mason City crash

KAAL-TV Created: July 24, 2021 05:28 PM (ABC 6 News) - There was a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning at 6:30 that killed one driver and sent another to the hospital. Iowa State Patrol is reporting a teenager and an adult were involved but have not shared who was killed in the accident. Troopers report Cammie Haack, 17, of Hampton and Joanna Gautier, 30, of Charles City were involved in the accident.  Troopers report Haack was driving north on Highway 65 when she began driftling lanes and collided with Gautier head-on who was heading south.  Mason City Police Dept., Cerro Gordo Co. Sheriff Dept., Iowa State Patrol and Mason City Fire Dept. responded to the 4500 block of South Federal in Mason City.

Posted: Apr 5, 2021 1:11 PM Updated: Apr 5, 2021 1:15 PM CERRO GORDO COUNTY, Iowa - A woman was rescued by a passerby after she was trapped in a vehicle after a rollover crash late Monday morning. The Cerro Gordo Co. Sheriff s Office said the crash happened at 11:39 a.m. at Lark Ave. and 300th St.  The driver, 61-year-old Donna Rench, of Manly, was eastbound on 300th St. when her 2005 Ford F-150 entered the north ditch and rolled. Rench was trapped inside the vehicle but was freed by a passerby as the vehicle started on fire.
