Football’s governing body FIFA has paid tribute to former Fiji FA President, Dr Shamsud-Dean Sahu Khan who passed away this week.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino says Dr Sahu Khan’s commitment, dedication and achievements will remain engraved in our memories and he will be missed.
Infantino says words seem inadequate to express the sadness they feel for this loss.
He has also extended his sympathy to Fiji FA and Dr Sahu Khan’s family and loved ones.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has sent his condolences to Fiji Football as messages of sympathy continue to poor in over the passing of late administrator doctor Mohammed Shamsu Dean Sahu Khan.
“It was with sadness and emotion that I learned the death of the former Fiji Football president Dr.Sahu Khan,” Infantino said.
“Words seem inadequate for the sadness we feel over this loss.”
Infantino wrote on behalf of the international football community to express gratitude on the work done for Fiji Football by Dr Sahu Khan.

The former President of Fiji Football Association and former Ba lawyer Dr Shamsud-Dean Sahu Khan has passed away.
He served as the President of Fiji FA for 26 years, from 1985 to 2011, after serving as the Vice President from 1971 to 1985.
He was a member of FIFA Disciplinary Committee for two terms of four years, also serving as the deputy chairman of the same committee for some time.
Fiji FA President, Rajesh Patel says Dr.Sahu Khan was a well-known person during his time of presidency and he pay his respect for the good deeds he has done for football in Fiji back then.
