Parapunov was named the most outstanding player after his 18th straight match this season with double-digit kills.
âIt’s about the heart, it’s about your teammates, it’s about doing your best, it’s never about stats,” Parapunov said. âIt’s about this right here (trophy). I lost it once and second time thankfully I got it.â
The top-seeded Rainbow Warriors (17-1) didn’t lose a set during the NCAA Tournament.
Parapunov had five kills in the first set and freshman Chaz Galloway added three. Hawaii was never challenged in the second set, going on a 6-0 run and jumping out to a 16-8 lead.

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The No. 1 ranked Rainbow Warriors volleyball team racked up the accolades on Monday, when the Big West Conference announced their 2021 All-Conference teams.
A total of seven âBows were honored by the Big West, headlined by four Seniors being named First Team All-Big West.
Seniors Rado Parapunov, Colton Cowell, Gage Worsley and Patrick Gasman were named to the First Team â all four opting to not return to the program next season.

In a rematch of the 2019 National Championship, the âBows would take down the Beach 23-25, 25-14, 25-13, 26-24 win in game one on Friday night.
