Kyla-Drew isn’t a stranger to series TV. She starred in Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Netflix’s No Good Nick, and Brat TV’s Crown Lake. But none of those shows featured a star of the magnitude of Jamie Foxx, so when the 17-year-old from Atlanta auditioned for the Netflix comedy Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, needless to say, she was a little bit intimidated.

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, Jamie Foxxâs return to sitcom, premiered on April 14, it quickly rose to the top of Netflixâs list of most popular shows â and for good reason.
The feel-good comedy (much-needed these days) centers on 16-year-old Sasha (Kyla-Drew) who, after losing her mom, moves in with her father, Brian Dixon (Foxx), a bachelor businessman with a knack for silly impressions, pop culture references, and mortifying his daughter.Â
Suddenly, Sasha is at the center of the Dixon household, a motley crew of Brianâs father Pops (David Alan Grier), best friend Johnny (Johnathan Kite), and charming sister-auntie-girl-boss extraordinaire Chelsea (Porscha Coleman).
