One person was roasted alive, while five long trailer vehicles with goods and items worth millions of naira were burnt beyond recognition in an auto-crash which occurred on Monday at Olola area along Bode Saadu-Jebba express road in Moro local government area of Kwara state.
Vanguard reliably gathered that the fatal crash was caused by brake failure, wrong overtaking, and over-speeding according to Information by the Kwara State Fire Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Head of Media and Publicity of Kwara state Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle said, “Men of the Kwara State Fire Service were summoned to a road accident by one FRSC officer called Azeez Olaolu. The accident occurred along Bode-saadu Jebba Expressway today.

EARLIER: Emergency are at a traffic crash near Walkerston. Members of the public were assisting with traffic control after two vehicles collided about 1.45pm Wednesday at the Peak Downs Highway and Mackay Eungella Rd intersection. Emergency crews are attending a two vehicle crash at the Peak Downs Highway and Mackay Eungella Rd intersection. It is understood airbags were deployed and a woman in her 20 and a man in his 50s were injured in the crash. They are not trapped Police, paramedics and fire crews are on scene and drivers heading in that direction are urged to take extra care. More to come.
The incident occurred on Ipswich-Boonah Rd about 1.45pm on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood a vehicle rear-ended another, causing one of the vehicles to overturn.
Paramedics assessed two patients at the scene.
The male driver was transported to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
It is understood he did not suffer serious injury.
The other driver reportedly escaped unharmed.
