JOHANNESBURG - Two trucks are on fire on the N3 on Van Reenen s Pass following a crash on Wednesday morning.
All lanes of the N3 toll route in that area are closed.
Paramedics have treated the two truck drivers for serious burn wounds.
The N3 Toll Concession s Anita Heyl said: “Motorists are advised that all roads on Van Reenen’s Pass Toll Road are closed due to a serious crash accident involving two heavy motor vehicles, which are on fire.”

It is not clear how the incident occurred or if there were any fatalities or injuries.
KwaZulu Natal police have opened a case of reckless driving in Van Reenen following the collision of two trucks N3 highway.
The trucks burst into flames resulting in a road closure of all lanes for hours.
According to provincial police Spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele the two drivers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital.
Mbhele said the matter is under investigation.

Maricopa City Council put its money where its mouth is on Tuesday night for a safer State Route 347.
The council approved the transfer of $1 million from the City’s general fund to the Arizona Department of Transportation in a future year to support House Bill 2068, the $35 million appropriations bill that would get the ball rolling on construction of an overpass at Riggs Road and SR 347. The transfer will not take place until ADOT funds are allocated to complete the project.
