Stuttgart man killed by niece s husband, family member says; murder charge filed Police on Monday arrested a man suspected of killing his wife s uncle in Stuttgart.  Earthly Coleman was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 62-year-old Charles Phillips. Officials with the Benton Police Department told KATV that Coleman, 51, was hiding in Benton. According to Benton police, detectives established surveillance at a residence and identified Coleman. They said detectives coordinated with patrol officers to stop the vehicle Coleman was in and took him into custody. Stuttgart Police Assistant Chief Michael Smith told KATV that Phillips death is the city s second homicide of the year. Smith said homicides are rare in their area.
