The Retreat set to open new mental health venue in York

New mental health venue set to open in York A NEW location for mental health services for children and young people is set to open in York. Charles Court, a building off Northfields in Strensall, has been given a new lease of life by The Retreat, and is preparing to open its doors to children, young people and families. The new location will be known as ‘The Retreat at Charles Court’. The facility includes more than 40 rooms which have been carefully designed to offer therapy and specialist neurodevelopmental services, including Autism, to children and young people. It will be the new home for The Retreat’s Autism Assessment and Diagnostic Service for children and young people, alongside a wide range of mental health services for children and young people.

Crime briefs: two attempted break-ins reported; catalytic converter thefts; teen could face assault charge

A round-up of crime reports from the Rochester Police Department. 9:12 am, May 4, 2021 × Rochester police received two reports late last week of attemped break-ins. The two incidents are not believed to be connected. A 38-year-old woman in the 100 block of Grande Isle Avenue Southwest reported that sometime between April 26-27, someone tried to force entry through her front door. The person or persons were unsuccessful, but did cause damage to the door. On May 1, a 29-year-old woman who lives in the 2900 block of Charles Court Northwest reported that it appeared someone tried to force their way in through the home s front door.
