Doo Ho Choi is set to fight for the first time since December 2019.
UFC officials announced on Monday that Choi will face Danny Chavez in a featherweight matchup at the promotion’s event on July 31 at a location and venue yet to be made official.
“The Korean Superboy” looks to snap a three-fight skid and pick up his first win in over five years. Choi finished his first three octagon appearances in the first round and has since lost a decision to Cub Swanson in a Fight of the Year candidate in 2016, and been stopped in back-to-back fights by Jeremy Stephens and Charles Jourdain.

The UFC put together a pretty strong fight night offering this week, with solid booking sprinkled throughout. Rob Font picked up a huge win in the main event, knocking off Cody Garbrandt in a 5-round decision. In the co-main event, Carla Esparza proved once and for all that she’s ready for another chance at UFC gold, with a dominating TKO over Yan Xiaonan. Felicia Spencer was on the wrong side of a surprising upset at the hands of Norma Dumont. And Jack Hermansson gave Edmen Shahbazyan another knock back from the ranks of the middleweight elite.

BANTAMWEIGHT BOUT 135LBS: #3 ROB FONT 18-4 VS #4 CODY GARBRANDT 12-3
This is a low key really good main event. Font has been on a little tear as of late, beating the new Bellator champ Sergio Pettis, Ricky Simon, and finishing Marlon Moraes last December. He’s been very impressive and now will stare across at former champ Cody Garbrandt, who always brings the heat. Garbrandt has a wrestling base but prefers the stand-up game, looking to throw bombs and get into wars. It s his greatest asset, but also
