CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Hamilton County Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey reported the arrest of a sheriffâs deputy on multiple charges related to child pornography.
Ronald Vest, 51, was charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and seven counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
According to McGuffey, Vest is an employee of the Hamilton County Sheriffâs Office in the Jail Services Division. He has been employed with HCSO since Dec. 1991.

Commissioner Alicia Reese on Wednesday announced a collaborative âaction teamâ between the countyâs Sheriffâs Office, Clerk of Courts and Jobs and Family Services office to help 200 Hamilton County residents at risk of eviction take advantage of the millions of dollars available for rental and utility assistance.
Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey said deputies from her office visited each home on the list to inform them of their options.
âWe were absolutely thrilled to participate, she said. Our deputies are tasked with the very difficult and very trying task of working through evictions with people. We all hit the ground running. We were out there, we were giving out those flyers, we were talking to people. And, you know, what better message for our community than to have a person in uniform knock on your door and say, âI am here to help you.â�

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - More addictions services and deescalation training for deputies top the list of Hamilton County Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey’s accomplishments in her first 100 days in office.
McGuffey’s 100th day won’t come until next Wednesday, but she discussed her progress with FOX19 NOW in an interview Friday.
McGuffey became the first female commander at sheriff’s office and the first openly gay sheriff in Hamilton County history when she was elected last November.
She says one of the things she’s proudest of his hiring women and people of color for positions of power in the department.
