CINCINNATI â Starting September 1, the Hamilton County Sheriff s Office deputies will wear a commemorative badge in honor of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey released in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
Several local businesses have pitched in to help offset the costs of the new badges.
The Sheriff s Office will also donate $10,000 to Joseph House, a local nonprofit that helps veterans who are struggling with addiction.

CINCINNATI â During President Joe Biden s visit to the Tri-State, Hamilton County Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey met the president and the two exchanged special gifts.
She gave him a special commemorative badge that Sheriffâs officers have the opportunity of wearing in honor of the 20
th anniversary of 9/11.
President Biden then gave her a presidential coin.
She said she is extremely honored to have received the prestigious gift and for the chance to share a few moments of the presidentâs time while he visited the area.
