The schoolboy reported the incident and cops started searching for the suspect. After following leads, the suspect was bust. On Friday 16 April, Nigel Magistrates Court sentenced Ben Mndaweni (21) 10 years for robbing the pupil of his cellphone. The accused was found guilty of aggravated robbery. Sergeant Harry Manaka said the pupil was with other children using the Wi-Fi service when Mndaweni pulled out a knife, held him against the wall and took his cellphone.

HE was sent to buy bread at a local spaza shop. But two thugs took the R100 he was supposed to use at the shop. On Monday, the Nigel Regional Court sentenced Godfrey Nhlapo (20) and Tumi Tsotetsi (19) to 15 years each for aggravated robbery. A DRIVER in a bakkie with a City of Ekurhuleni logo smashed his car from behind on Saturday, 13 February. Molefe Rakosa got out of his car to confront the driver, who was apparently drunk. As he was busy talking to him, another drunk driver bumped into Molefe’s blue VW Polo Vivo. When the first driver, who drove a Nissan NP300 bakkie, saw Molefe leave to confront the second one, he fled the scene.
