Canada Road Safety Week continues through this May long weekend and the Ontario Provincial Police are putting a focus on the big four driving errors. KenoraOnline spoke with O.P.P. Community Safety Coordinator, Sergeant Mike Golding.
“Things that we’re looking for with the OPP are impaired driving, seat belts, aggressive driving and speeding. They speak for themselves, but the stats are such that you’ve got to wear your seat belt when you get in a vehicle, says Sergeant Golding. Impaired driving also includes impaired by drugs, also a drug that’s been prescribed by a doctor is something that we are looking at this year, as well as the new cannabis legislation that affects driving. Those are the big four and we’ll be out there in full force.
