Muscroft then struck her in the face with it before he was disarmed during the struggle between them.
Her injuries included cuts to her nose, swelling and pain to her teeth.
Muscroft left the address before police arrived but later returned where he was arrested.
He was subsequently charged and he appeared for sentencing at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 28 April 2021) after pleading guilty to a charge of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He was given a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for one year, and made subject of a restraining order.
