Engineer Manoj Sinha, who is the second Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, in his article published in Daily Excelsior on 26th April 2021, had very categorically spelled out his priorities when it comes to dealing with pandemic that has caught the world unaware and is causing havoc since past one year. While asking people to be compassionate towards each other in these testing times, he is of the view that in its war against COVID-19, for Union Territory of J&K “every single individual counts”. This says it all about the administration’s priorities and preparedness to deal with the situation but this too has certain limitations.
Jewellers in Mansehra threaten to observe strike

MANSEHRA: The Sarafa Association on Tuesday threatened to observe a complete shutter down strike if the police didn’t arrest robbers who robbed a jeweller of over 3kilogram of gold ornaments in the Garhi Habibullah a few days back.
“If the police don’t arrest robbers involved in the heist within two days, we would go on a complete shutter down strike in protest across the district,” Abdul Malik Saraf, the patron-in-chief of the Sarafa Association, told a press conference.
Flanked by office-bearers of the association, he said that Hamza Qaisar Sarafa was on his way to home after closing his shop in evening in the Garhi Habibullah and as he reached near his home, the robbers fired at him leaving him seriously injured.

The gold price in the international market witnessed increase of $24
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The price of 24 karat per tola gold increased by Rs 2900 on Thursday and was sold at Rs106,700 against sale at Rs103,800 Karachi Sarafa Association reported.
The price of 10 gram 24 karat gold also increased by Rs2486 and was traded at Rs91,478 against Rs88,992 while that of ten gram 22 karat gold increased to Rs 83,855 from Rs 81,576.
The price of per tola silver increased by Rs50 and was traded at Rs1370 against its sale at Rs1320 whereas that of and 10 gram silver increased by Rs42.87 and was traded at Rs1174.55 against Rs1131.68.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The price of 24 karat per tola gold increased by Rs 800 on Wednesday and was sold at Rs103,800 against sale at Rs103,000 Karachi Sarafa Association reported.
The price of ten gram 24 karat gold also increased by Rs687 and was traded at Rs88,992 against Rs88,305 while that of ten gram 22 karat gold increased to Rs 81,576 from Rs80,947.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained constant at Rs1320 and Rs1131.68 respectively.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The price of 24 karat per tola gold decreased by Rs 50 on Monday and was sold at Rs102,500 against sale at Rs102,550 Karachi Sarafa Association reported.
The price of ten gram 24 karat gold also decreased by Rs 43 and was traded at Rs87,877 against Rs87,920 while that of ten gram 22 karat gold was recorded at Rs 80,554.
The price of per tola silver decreased by Rs20 and was sold at Rs1320 against its sale at Rs1340 while that of ten gram silver decreased by Rs17.15 and was traded at Rs1131.68 against Rs1148.83.
