Planning update     SAE welcomed the report by Newport City Council ( NCC ) planning officers regarding the Group s planning application for the February Planning Committee meeting and their recommendation that planning permission be granted with conditions.   The Proposed Development in this planning application comprises fuel storage,  material handling and other ancillary infrastructure to be constructed external to the existing power station building.   We note however that a third party has requested the planning application be called in for determination by Welsh Government rather than the local planning authority, NCC .   Following on from this third-party request, the Welsh Government has followed due process and issued a holding direction while it considers if this call-in is justified. Students helping to roll-out vaccine across Dudley

Students from across Dudley are helping to open mass vaccination centres around the area. The Health and Social care students have been successful in getting paid roles working in vaccination centres opened by Dudley Group of Hospitals. Alice Mills-Adams, Thomas Pegg, Kiran Akhtar, Daniel Sault, Anjeli Maharaj and Charlotte Baker have started their shifts at different sites. Charlotte said: “I applied so I could make some sort of contribution in helping other health care professionals fight against the disease.” Sarah Hale, from Halesowen College, said: “Thank you to all of these students – we are very proud of you! They will get some excellent experience which will definitely help them in future careers.”
