Bristol artist Sarah Lynn Richards opened a new gallery, showcasing watercolor paintings of horses and Maine wildlife, in downtown Damariscotta on Thursday, April 1.
The Sarah Richards Gallery is in the Damariscotta Center building, at 157 Main St., where a storefront window is packed with colorful and realistic paintings that jump right out onto the street.

A new co-working and community space in a renovated historic Brighton home is the manifestation of a couple s longtime dream.
Anna and Dan Oginsky have been working to restore an historic home at 142 Brighton Lake Road past residents included a Civil War soldier and a mayor since purchasing the 1862 house in 2016.
Earlier this month, the Oginskys opened Brighton Light House in the house, which they expanded, and a new carriage house they built next to it.
Brighton Light House is a co-working, conference and business rental space, which also houses Heart Connected, Anna s healing arts and wellness business. It s very multi-use and flexible, Anna Oginsky said. I want it to be an opportunity for a lot of different people to come and share their gifts.
