Elsie And Norm’s Macbeth MEMBERS of the Worcester Repertory Company are working hard ahead of a return to the stage at the city’s Commandery Gardens this summer, with their rendition of John Christopher Wood’s comedy, Elsie & Norm’s Macbeth. It’s the first event they have been able to stage since the pandemic began, with last year’s event being cancelled due to the lockdown measures. Sarah-Jane Morgan, chief executive officer at Worcester Live, said: “’I’m so excited that our enormously popular event at The Commandery Gardens will be going ahead this summer. “We were simply devastated not to be able to go ahead with the annual event last year. We’ve worked hard behind the scenes to ensure we can offer something we know our audiences will love, in a safe environment.”

WELCOME BACK: The Swan Theatre in Worcester WORCESTER Live is gearing up to reopen the doors at The Swan Theatre on Wednesday, May 19. This will be the first time this year that the theatre has opened its doors to the public. The first show will be Judy & Liza, the 10th anniversary production which celebrates the life and music of two iconic theatrical talents; Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli. Sarah-Jane Morgan, chief executive officer of Worcester Live, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be reopening The Swan Theatre once again, in line with the government roadmap and under Covid secure conditions, for which we were highly commended by our patrons back in October and December.
