Audio Content Fund enters third year with £1m available

Audio Content Fund enters third year with £1m available The Audio Content Fund has £1million to distribute over the next 12 months as it enters its third year of operation. The fund, which is financed by the UK Government, has distributed £2.35m since its launch in 2019, having had its budget increased last year during the coronavirus pandemic. The next funding round will open on 17th May, with decisions published in early August. Subsequent funding rounds will be held in September 2021 and January 2022. Each round is expected to distribute around £330,000 to independent production companies, to make broadcast radio content which is often too expensive to produce on a commercial basis (including documentary, drama, comedy, and live music).
