Warburton reflects on Forest defeat Share article:
QPR boss Mark Warburton was disappointed with his side’s performance following our 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
A strike from Alex Mighten on the stroke of half-time set Forest on their way before second half efforts from Lewis Grabban and James Garner secured the victory for the Reds.
Lyndon Dykes pulled back what proved to be a consolation for the R’s and at the full-time whistle, Warburton told www.qpr.co.uk: “We have to be better, I thought we were ponderous, slow and tired especially in the first half.

RANGERS were denied as they sought to follow up back-to-back victories in the Sky Bet Championship.
Juninho Bacuna s second-half strike was the difference, in a 1-0 Huddersfield Town win over an under-par QPR at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Junior Adriaan Wildschutt brought home his first career victory as a Seminole, as the Florida State men’s cross country team finished third in a very tight, top-heavy field at the FSU XC Last Chance meet.
On a picturesque Friday morning at the Apalachee Regional Park, the Seminoles had two runners in the top five and four in the top 15, completing the race with a total of 49 points ahead of Temple (117) and South Florida (153). RV Syracuse (31) took home the team title ahead of No. 17 Michigan (42).
“If today was a regional meet, we would be through to nationals after that performance,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “We ran really well. We didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone,

GOALS from Daryl Dike, Alex Mowatt and Carlton Morris saw Barnsley record their sixth successive win for the first time in more than a century in the second tier against Queens Park Rangers.
The 3-1 away win at least temporarily puts Barnsley into sixth place, with a game in hand over the teams either side of them.
It s also the first time they ve recorded three successive away wins since 1996-97.
Barnsley came into the game at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in superb form, with five straight wins coming at the end of seven unbeaten games.
QPR had won their last three at home, including impressive victories over Bournemouth and Brentford.
RANGERS shared the spoils in a goalless encounter at Preston North End.
There were certainly missed opportunities at Deepdale, with QPR’s Lyndon Dykes passing on arguably the game’s best chance in just the sixth minute.
But both teams just lacked the cutting edge required to take all three points, as the Hoops now ready themselves for Saturday’s trip to Birmingham City in the Sky Bet Championship.
With the R’s hunting a seventh win in eight Championship affairs, QPR boss Mark Warburton named an unchanged starting XI following Saturday’s latest W12 victory over AFC Bournemouth.
That meant Rangers – in their now accustomed 5-3-2 formation – lined up as: Seny Dieng; Todd Kane, Rob Dickie, Geoff Cameron, Yoann Barbet, Lee Wallace; Dom Ball, Ilias Chair, Stefan Johansen; Charlie Austin, Dykes.
