KUALA LUMPUR: Leading food and beverage company, Yeo Hiap Seng (Malaysia) Bhd (Yeo’s), has launched Yeo’s Helping Hands, a CSR programme furthering the company’s efforts to reach out to communities in need.
The first initiative under Yeo’s Helping Hands will see food aid packs being distributed to about 28,000 B40 families that are the most affected by Covid-19 .
Working in partnership with the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, RM 1 million has been channelled to fund the food aid programme to support about 28,000 B40 families. Each of these households will receive a food pack of essential food items comprising on canned food, instant noodles and beverages.

Swedish vegan brand Oatly has partnered with Singaporean beverage company Yeo Hiap Seng to bring Oatly’s oat milk products to Asia. The two companies will jointly invest $30 million to build a manufacturing facility in Singapore managed by Yeo to produce Oatly products destined for markets across Asia. Production is expected to begin later this year.
The partnership complements Yeo’s leading position in the region’s soy milk market and will help drive growth in the overall plant-based milk segment. “This strategic partnership positions both companies to tap the surging demand in this region for plant-based dairy. Yeo’s has a long history of product innovation, and we are already a key player in the dairy alternative segment via our soy portfolio,” Yeo’s Group CEO Samuel Koh told media outlet
