Sabis International Charter School students advance to nationals in Academic Decathlon

Sabis International Charter School students competed in the Massachusetts Academic Decathlon virtually. The competition is comprised of ten academic events that coincide with a particular theme. This year s theme is the Cold War.

SPRINGFIELD Along with navigating online learning, students on the Sabis International Charter School’s Academic Decathlon team have been researching the Cold War and its impact on everything from art and literature to economics, science and even math.
Last Sunday the Springfield team competed with 15 other high school teams from across the state and qualified for the National Academic Decathlon this spring. The competition tests their knowledge in seven subjects, as well as their skills in public speaking, essay writing and interviewing.
