Après deux saisons 2018 et 2019 prometteuses, l’équipe a subi un coup d’arrêt en 2020, pénalisée en partie par les déboires du V6 Ferrari et peine à concrétiser cette année pour marquer des points, même si le rythme de course des « Alfas » n’est pas si mauvais.

Alfa Romeo and Sauber Motorsport are continuing their Formula 1 working agreement, and they announced on Wednesday a new multi-year deal with yearly options.
Officials from both organizations believe that F1 car changes for 2022 coupled with the sport s new budget cap will give the team a chance to steadily climb up the Formula 1 ladder. The Alpha Romeo team of drivers Kimi Rakkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi is currently eighth in the F1 Constructors Standings the same position that it finished in the 2020 campaign.
