Italy s islands push Covid-free brand to revive tourism

In attempt to lure holidayers and revive pandemic-struck tourism, Italy is exploiting a Covid-Free Islands strategy.
Local authorities have launched mass vaccination campaigns of islanders - set to be completed between the end of May and mid-June, just in time to welcome again global holiday-makers for summer.

San Domino A and Marloe Hanover proved victorious in Sunday afternoon s (May 9) co-featured $16,200 pacing events at Harrah s Philadelphia.
In the week s top event for pacing males, San Domino A and driver George Napolitano Jr. angled out of the pocket to challenge pacesetter Pyro at the end of a :27.1 first quarter, but ultimately were forced back into the pocket with a lap to go. The eight-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding was boxed up the backstretch in pursuit of a :26.4 third sectional, but reached through the open stretch to prevail by a nose over Pyro in 1:50.4. Carlisimo rallied off cover for third, two lengths back.

It was a travelling rite of passage in my day, and doubtless still is, with variations: a three-day bus to Athens (£20 return), ferry from Piraeus, then an island-hopping odyssey around the Aegean – Paxos, Sifnos, Kos and more – sleeping on beaches and living off yogurt, bread and olives. Greece, of course, is made for such island-hopping adventures (it has more than 6,000 islands, for a start).
But what about another country lapped by some of the same seas – the Ionian and Adriatic – plus others of its own, such as the Tyrrhenian and Ligurian? A country that recently reduced its quarantine requirements from 14 days to five (as long as you can provide a negative test within 48 hours of your arrival)?
