Roorkee: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee witnessed an enlightening discussion on architecture on the inaugural edition of the AP Kanvinde Memorial Lecture Series. It was organized by the Department of Architecture and Planning in honour of Late Architect Padma Shri A.P. Kanvinde, who is also well known as the Father of Modern (Post Independent) Indian Architecture. The theme of the inaugural session was ‘Architecture in Context.’ The event was graced by Architect Rahul Mehrotra, a renowned scholar and Professor, Harvard University, USA and Architect Sanjay Kanvinde as esteemed speakers. Prof. Ajit K. Chaturvedi, Director, IIT Roorkee, Prof. Gaurav Raheja, Convener, AP Kanvinde Lecture Series and Prof. P. S. Chani welcomed the speakers on behalf of the institute.

The idea of “secret projects” such as MKUltra were once considered complete fiction and nothing but conspiracy theories. As were secret projects to influence the weather or the use of remote viewers by such intelligence agencies as the CIA. However, we now know that these efforts existed, at least on an initial research and experimental level.
If these top secret and once-denied projects were more factual than authorities would have originally had us believe, then what should we make of some of the other, albeit bizarre, allegations of top secret projects and programs that operate in the shadows of governments, funded by the “black budget?” Here are ten such programs. Some are more believable than others, no doubt, but all are intriguing to the max.

Anne Neuberger, a Jewish Orthodox woman who serves as the top White House cybersecurity official, gave her first press briefing Wednesday since joining the Biden administration.
Neuberger, who holds the post of deputy national security adviser for cyber and emerging technology, addressed a major cyber breach likely carried out by Russia that she said accessed files and emails from at least nine government agencies and about 100 private companies.
She also warned that the danger has not passed, because the hackers breached networks of technology companies whose products could be used to launch additional intrusions.
