A pre-winter rain dump has prompted flood warnings for eastern Victoria.
Heavy rain has fallen across the Gippsland and East Gippsland regions, with widespread totals between 70 to 110mm recorded over the 24 hours to 9am.
The highest rainfall figures were 135mm at Mt Waldron, 114mm at the George near the Genoa River, and 110mm at Chandlers Creek.

In response, the Bureau of Meteorology on Wednesday issued a moderate flood warning for the Bemm, Cann and Genoa rivers.
Minor flooding is also expected along parts of the Snowy River.

Authorities have lashed a New South Wales woman for speeding through a Victorian border checkpoint at night, turning her lights off and evading police for hours until road spikes were used to stop her car.
Victoria Health Minister Martin Foley condemned the 57-year-old, from NSW’s Central Coast, for endangering the lives of police.
People from the Central Coast and Greater Sydney are banned from entering Victoria after a COID-19 cluster emerged on the city’s northern beaches.
A police statement said the Bateau Bay woman drove through the Chandlers Creek checkpoint in East Gippsland early on Wednesday morning “at a fast rate of speed.”
