The group is headed by Republican Party of Brown County chairman James Fitzgerald.  Other members are Richard Carlstedt, Sandra Duckett, Thomas Sladek, and Lark Wartenberg. The complaint alleges state and federal laws were violated, and their attorney says only the state Legislature can change the legal conditions for a federal election. Thousands of city emails accessed through an open records request reportedly provided new key information. The city has 15 days to respond. Manitowoc, WI, United States

According to Republican Party of Brown County President James Fitzgerald, The Amistad Project is holding a press conference at the Brown County Courthouse at 1 p.m. to discuss the complaint. Erick Kaardal, attorney for the group, and former Brown County Clerk Sandy Juno will be at the press conference, along with five Green Bay residents, including Fitzgerald, Richard Carlstedt, Sandra Duckett, former Green Bay Ald.
