Chadwick Hughes wasn’t shy about his beliefs. On Facebook, he blamed Black people for the majority of violent crimes committed in the country, according to NBC 5. He mocked others for their “white shame,” and he posted a video of a robbery along with the comment, “Dare I say it? Black at it again.”
Up until early February, Hughes was a patrolman in the Fort Worth Police Department, a three-year member of the force who had posted a spate of photos of himself in uniform on his Facebook page. But the department canned Hughes last month, citing his behavior on social media.

A second Fort Worth police officer has been fired over a “racially insensitive” social media post found by a colleague in recent weeks.
The department said another officer reported the post by Officer Kelly Kujawski on Feb. 5. Authorities did not explain what the post said.
Kujawski, a four-year-veteran of the force, was placed on restricted duty during an internal investigation. According to police, that investigation found that Kujawski violated the department’s general orders regarding the use of social media and that her actions “brought unfavorable criticism upon the department.”
While the department did not detail the contents of Kujawski s post, it did reveal that a fellow officer discovered the post, which prompted the internal investigation. Internal Affairs quickly began an investigation and concluded that officer Kelly Kujawski was responsible for the racially insensitive post, the release stated.
The police department further condemned Kujawski s actions, writing that [t]he Fort Worth Police Department holds every officer to a very high standard, and that any communication which is racially insensitive and unprofessional will not be condoned in any manner. Our department will continue to hold those accountable who do not meet that standard, the department said in the release.
