In case you missed it, Nintendo announced at last month’s Nintendo Direct that Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would be joining the ever-expanding Super Smash Bros. Ultimate line-up as part of the Fighter Pass 2. Today, Sakurai held a new Sakurai Presents to show off the upcoming character and announced that the dynamic duo would be making their way to the game later today.

The Super Smash Bros. community is abuzz this week as the latest DLC character, Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, were released yesterday following the big Mr. Sakurai Presents broadcast showcasing the new contender. On top of that, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was elevated to version 11.0.0, which brought with it several character balance changes that have players quite excited.
Among the changes, the Legend of Zelda series big baddie Ganondorf received a single buff, but it already looks like it s one that is going to be very useful. This clip from Mr Nichols19 shows an absolutely incredible conversion that was only made possible thanks to the change made to the villain s Up Special.

Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch, and some fans are unhappy about the addition of another sword fighter to the game s roster. Director Masahiro Sakurai addressed the controversy on a new episode of Washa Live (which has been translated by Nintendo Everything). Sakurai stopped by the show to promote the upcoming Sakurai Presents video for the DLC fighter, but he also addressed the decision-making process that goes into which fighters are added to the game. While some might be quick to blame the director, it s clearly not his decision to make!
