DDC approves 115 uplift schemes

FAISALABAD: The District Development Committee has approved the implementation on 115 development schemes for regional development and public welfare at a cost of Rs 270.3 million.
The District Development Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali in which Deputy Director Development Tahir Mehmood briefed about the technical and administrative aspects of various development schemes.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Afifa Shajia, Officers of Local Government, Wasa, FDA and other departments were also present.
The meeting was informed that the under the SDGs development package schemes of roads, Wasa, FDA, Local Government and Fesco would be completed. Reviewing the schemes approved during the meeting, the DC said that expeditious departmental measures should be taken so that these schemes could be completed earlier. He said that the problem should be solved immediately

FAISALABAD: The meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held at the Commissioner Office here on Saturday.
The moot was chaired by MNA Raja Riaz Ahmad in which Commissioner Saqib Manan and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali briefed the Parliamentarians on the Chief Minister’s Development Package, implementation on development programmes in various sectors, action against land grabbers and other government policies.
The meeting was also attended by Provincial Minister for Colonies Mian Khayal Ahmed Kastro, Parliamentarians Mian Farrukh Habib, Faizullah Kamooka, Ch Asim Nazeer, Shakeel Shahid, Ch Ali Akhtar, Malik Umar Farooq, Latif Nazar and Firdous Rai.

Danish diplomats visit WASA office Qadeer Sikandar
Ambassador of Denmark Lis Rosenholm and Bente Schiller, deputy head of mission, visited the WASA office on Tuesday and said work on the wastewater treatment plant should be expedited so that timely completion of the plant was possible.
They were welcomed by Divisional Commissioner Saqib Manan, Vice Chairman Sheikh Shahid Javed and Managing Director WASA Jabbar Anwar Chaudhry. Lis Rosenholm appreciated the service of WASA Faisalabad as an institution and hoped that it would play its full role in terms of wastewater treatment plants. FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2021 ) :Ambassador of Denmark Mrs. Lis Rosenholm on Tuesday stressed the need for expediting work on the waste water treatment plant to ensure rapid completion of the project.
She was addressing a meeting at WASA office here on Tuesday. Deputy Head of Mission Mrs. Bente Schiller, Commissioner Saqib Manan and WASA officers were also present on the occasion.
The ambassador said that this project will have a salutary impact on the overall environment of this fastest growing industrial city and the waste water could be utilized for irrigation purposes. She added that the treatment plant would be setup with the newest Danish technology which further cement the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Commissioner for making Tepa functional in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Commissioner Saqib Manan has said that all administrative preparations should be made to make the Tepa Faisalabad function like Lahore to solve the traffic challenges.
He said this while reviewing the required resources, issues, Tepa rules, departmental strategy for its functioning and other related matters in a meeting here on Sunday.
