NOWSHERA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched investigations into alleged irregularities in the recruitment of staff and purchase of equipment for Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex and Nowshera Medical College.
The investigation would look into the alleged irregularities dating back from 2016 to 2021. NAB has seized the official record from 2016 to 2021.
It was alleged that a former dean of Nowshera Medical College had provided jobs to his 14 family members.
The probe would also look into alleged wrongdoings in the purchase of medicines and the award of contract for the parking lot at the Nowshera Medical College.
The allegations also included the use of substandard material in the construction of the building for the college. The anti-graft watchdog will formally launch the probe on July 19 and it has started making questionnaires for the probe.
