New Delhi [India], May 23 (ANI): A team of Delhi Police Special Cell on Sunday took wrestler Sushil Kumar and his associate Ajay Bakkarwala to a hospital for a medical check-up soon after their arrest in the morning.
The video was also uploaded on YouTube by a sports website Delhi Let s Play (Watch below): Wrestler Sushil Kumar has been arrested by a team of Special Cell, Â Neeraj Thakur, Special CP-Special Cell told news agency ANI.
The report further quoted Delhi police as saying: A team of Special Cell SR led by Inspector Shivkumar, Inspector Karambir & supervised by ACP Attar Singh has arrested Sushil Kumar & Ajay from Mundka area of Delhi in connection with the killing of 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium.
A day earlier IANS reported that Sushil Kumar was arrested from Jalandhar. However, the reports were later refuted by the Delhi Police but confirmed a police team of theirs is already in Punjab; expectedly to nab the wrestler.
Exactly a year ago, on the occasion of World Wrestling Day, India s greatest exponent of that sport, Sushil Kumar, had posted an image onto his Twitter account. Happy World wrestling day was the caption of the image of one of Sushil s greatest triumphs. It s from the final moments of his bout against Kazakhstan s Akhzurek Tantarov in the semifinals of the 2012 Olympics. Sushil, then 28, is at the peak of his physical gifts - a hero from antiquity. He has muscled the Kazakh wrestler off the mat, his left leg and right arm trapped in a vice like grip. In a fraction of a second, Tantarov will come crashing down and Sushil heading to the Olympic final, where he will become the first Indian to win a second individual Olympic medal.

Sagar Rana murder case: Wrestler Sushil Kumar sent to 6-day police custody
Wrestler Sushil Kumar has been sent to six-day police custody in connection with the killing of 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium.Â
Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar was arrested in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl case that led to the death of wrestler, appeared before a court via video conferencing today.Â
Kumar (38) and his associate Ajay, alias Sunil, (48) were arrested from Mundka today.Â
The case relates to the May 4 incident at the stadium in which wrestler Sagar Rana died and two of his friends, Sonu and Amit Kumar, were injured after they were allegedly assaulted by Sushil Kumar and other wrestlers.
