Chaffee County Writers Exchange announces the long-awaited visit by celebrated western author Chris Enss to Coloradoâs mountain communities has been rescheduled for June 11.
Chris Enss is a New York Times best-selling author who has been writing about women of the Old West for more than 20 years and penned more than 40 published books on the subject. Her work has been honored with five Will Rogers Medallion Awards among others.
Joining Enss in this visit is award winning Western author Phil Mills, Jr. His books include three historical novels set in 1800s Wyoming and six childrenâs books.
âWhere a Good Wind Blowsâ was a Spur Finalist Award for Best 2010 Western Audio book from the Western Writers of America.Â
The event will be held via Zoom from 9Â a.m. to noon, Monday, May 24.Â
The event is open to the public and free. The session will be led by Jean Gabardi. She will present writing tips for creating scene descriptions that will take participantsâ writing skills to the next level.
Gabardi is currently president of CCWE and is a published author with co-author Judilee Butler. Their book, âThe Last Hurrah: A Phoebe Korneal Mystery,â is a finalist in the Colorado Authors League Awards.
The monthly WE Write sessions are always an exercise in creative writing. Exercises are based on Natalie Goldbergâs method for writing freely and spontaneously.Â
