Fifty-three new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Saskatchewan Wednesday the highest single-day increase in new cases and the first time more than 50 cases have been reported in a day since 114 cases were reported July 8, 2021.
Another 5,413 doses of the vaccine have also been administered in the province.
No new deaths were reported and 276 cases of the virus are now active in Saskatchewan.
A look at the numbers
About half of the newly reported cases (24) are located in the far northwest. The remaining cases are located in the northwest (nine), Saskatoon (five), Regina (four), far north central (two), far northeast (two), north central (one), south central (one) and southwest (one). One case was reassigned to the north central zone.
