Remarkable Underwater Memorial for Navy Seal in Arkansas
Memorial Day is right around the corner and Lake Ouachita near Hot Springs is well known for having one of the cleanest lakes in the country but did you know that there is an underwater memorial that pays tribute to a fallen U. S. Navy Seal Adam L. Brown.
Adams, a Hot Springs native and former Chief Special Warfare Operator had a book published based on his life story called Fearless: The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy Seal Team 6 Operator Brown. The memorial was placed at Blakely Dam in Lake Ouachita in the Hot Springs on July 27, 2013, by a group of Arkansas Scuba Divers. The memorial is accessible to both land and scuba divers

WORCESTER CO., Md. – One local school district’s superintendent was able to visit with some students in person and present one with an award for the influence she has on her classmates.
On Facebook, Worcester County Public Schools showed pictures of Superintendent Louis Taylor visiting with students at Buckingham Elementary School on Monday. While there, he was able to present Lyric Reynolds with the Superintendent’s Challenge Coin for being a positive influence for herself and those around her.
Taylor started giving Challenge Coins in 2019 as a way to recognize the good behavior and actions students perform in the classrooms and in their community. WCPS says they are so proud of Lyric and all she does to be a good student.
