Customs Intercept 6,000 Gallons of Contraband Fuel
While drivers are desperately seeking legally imported fuel at the nation’s gas stations, an operation by Customs and Excise officers this morning led to the interception of six thousand gallons of contraband fuel. Tonight, a Belizean and a Guatemalan driver are detained pending charges for the illegal activity. News Five’s Duane Moody reports.

Two fuel tankers filled with regular gasoline and diesel were intercepted in the Calla Creek area of the Cayo District this morning. The sting operation came on the heels of information acquired by the Customs and Excise Department of a contraband ring in the West.
