May 2, 2021 BOARDMAN Two people are hospitalized with serious injuries after being shot early today in the parking lot of an apartment complex behind the Boardman Plaza. The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the rear parking lot of the complex in the 100 block of Stadium Drive near the intersection of Salinas Trail, according to a Boardman police report. Bullets also struck a nearby apartment building. Two gunshot victims were driven by private car to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, the report states. Both were seriously injured, police said. Township police and Ohio BCI are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boardman Police Department at 330-726-4144 and speak to detectives.
