Salina man sent to hospital after motorcycle crash

A Salina man was taken to the hospital with a broken leg after the motorcycle he was riding struck a car Wednesday.
Salina police said the crash happened at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Crawford Street.
A 2006 Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on Crawford when the driver, an 18-year-old Salina women, failed to yield while making a left turn onto Santa Fe striking a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old Salina man.
According to police the driver of the Impala said she waited for an eastbound vehicle to pass and didn t see the motorcycle. The Impala had rear passenger-side damage and was driven from the scene, while the motorcycle had major front-end damage and was towed.
