Frankie Hahlo Tributes have been paid to Frances (Frankie) Hahlo, who passed away on March 16 at the age of 78. Frankie was a devoted wife to Kenneth, a beloved mother to Roddy and Fiona, the adored grandmother of Bella and Tristan and mother-in-law to Yvonne and Edward. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Frankie moved to Bolton with Kenneth in 1969. She taught at Chalfont Primary School - which later became the Valley Community Primary School - for several years, and also worked in language support services for a time. Once retired, she remained a dedicated governor at the Valley school. In her retirement, Frankie threw herself into the female volunteering movement Soroptimist International, and worked with several local charities and organisations, including the Bolton domestic violence charity Fortalice.
