A cider maker uses the lockdown as a testing ground to create something unique for his daughter s big day and it turns heads on a global level.

Many fathers look at their little girl s big day as a time that they either dread or celebrate. We are not sure which one it was for Larry Whitfield, the chief cider maker at Loxtonia, a family-owned cidery in the Ceres Valley, the home of the SA Apple industry.
But he sure took full advantage to create an opportunity during the lockdown, when he decided to create a cider that would embody his daughter as she took the next step in life and celebrated her union with her future husband.
