Maoists kill contractor in Malkangiri district, set 3 vehicles on fire Post News Network Malkangiri: Maoists once more made their presence felt in Malkangiri district killing a contractor and setting on blaze three vehicles. The incident took place near Goliaguda village under Mathili police limits. Employees of the contractor were involved in the construction of a road near the village. Also read: The deceased was identified as Sukumar Mandal. He had been awarded the road laying project through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) programme. In order to supervise ongoing work, Sukumar reached the construction site in his vehicle early in the morning. The Maoists were waiting for him. The moment he arrived, they dragged him out of the vehicle and killed him on the spot. They also set his SUV and two other vehicles ablaze, an eye-witness stated.
