NORMAN, Okla. - Sophomore Emma Spitz will represent the International squad in the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup, as announced on Tuesday.
The match-play competition will be held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. from June 11-13.
Spitz, a native of Vienna, Austria, is currently ranked 16th in the Women s Amateur Golf Ranking. She leads the Bruins in scoring average this season at 72.2, having finished in the Top 10 in six of her seven tournaments. Of her 20 rounds, 11 have been under par, including three in the 60s. Spitz posted back-to-back, season-low rounds of 3-under 68 to open the Pac-12 Championships (April 23-25), where she tied for 10th (+1, 214). She was second at the Sun Devil Winter Classic (Feb. 15-17, -6, 210), producing three under-par rounds, including an opening, 3-under 69. Spitz also tied for second at the Lamkin Invitational (Feb. 8-9, -1, 215) and tied for third at the Silverado Showdown (April 5-7, -2, 214), opening with under par rounds in both tournaments

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas junior Julian Perico has been selected to play for Team International at the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup, it was announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America on GOLF Channel. The 25th annual event features the top collegiate golfers from around the world, is set for June 11-13 and will be played at Rich Harvest Farms (Sugar Grove, Ill.).
Perico will join fellow Razorback Brooke Matthews at the Palmer Cup. Matthews, who will represent Team USA, was one of the first three women and among the first six overall selected to participate on Mar. 3, 2021. The last time Arkansas had a male and a female participate in the same Arnold Palmer Cup was 2018 when Alvaro Ortiz (Mexico) and Maria Fassi (Mexico) played for Team International.

On Wednesday, April 21, the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association welcomed 30 Rosary High School students and teachers in a student-led partnership to better the community. Rosary has been a wonderful partner over the many years serving together, said Support Staff Manager Brian Houzenga. We are grateful for all that they do for our community.
The collaboration accomplished important projects to launch FVSRA into the summer activity season.

The warning was in place until 7:15 p.m. for the following counties: Kendall, Will, DuPage and Cook. A warning for Kane County was canceled at approximately 6:55 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms are heading south, traveling at 35 mph.
Wind gusts up to 58 mph were seen at Aurora Airport in Sugar Grove, the latest forecast models showed. As of around 6:40 p.m., there was little to no lightning reported.
