When the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to have no end in sight, the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association in Aurora knew people with special needs were experiencing isolation not only in their service area, but throughout the Chicago area.
As 100% of FVSRA s life-changing therapeutic programs were successfully meeting online, they invited other special recreation associations in Illinois to share resources and make a greater impact.

On Wednesday, April 21, the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association welcomed 30 Rosary High School students and teachers in a student-led partnership to better the community. Rosary has been a wonderful partner over the many years serving together, said Support Staff Manager Brian Houzenga. We are grateful for all that they do for our community.
The collaboration accomplished important projects to launch FVSRA into the summer activity season.
