takes COVID-19 vaccine
PanOrient News/ The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced that 2,447,716 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country, indicating that the country can limit the spread of the virus and quickly return to normal life. This comes three weeks after King Mohammed VI launched a national vaccination campaign and took the first shot of COVID-19 vaccine.
The Kingdom of Morocco is the first African country to launch a vaccination campaign against Covid-19, and the vaccines are free of charge for all Moroccans and foreign residents in the country aged 17 years or more.
The Ministry of Health stated that Morocco currently has 7 million doses of coronavirus vaccine, after receiving a second batch – 500,000 doses – of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. This number is expected to increase as Morocco has signed contracts to buy quantities of both the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines to cover 30 million people.
