He said the incident occurred in the Labour Colony of Seribehlol locality in Takhtbai tehsil.
The Saro Shah police station official said that the victim, identified as Mubashir Said alias Callagey, was killed when the function ended.
The suspects were identified as Bilawal and Janay, residents of Jehanday area, and a third unidentified accomplice hailing from Rustam locality. The alleged killers fled the scene after the occurrence.
The police lodged FIR against the accused on the complaint of Sudair Said, a brother of the transgender person, and started efforts to arrest them.
Farzana Jan, provincial president of the transgender persons association, reached the spot immediately afterwards and demanded of the quarters concerned to arrest the alleged killers forthwith. She also urged the provincial government to provide protection to the transgender community members.
MARDAN: Two prisoners died at Central Prison Mardan here late Thursday night, sources said.The sources added that one Mohammad Hassan, son of Akbar Khan, a resident of Saro Shah, had been arrested.
